Summer 2020 Season Beach Passes

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Individual Season Passes (non-refundable/non-transferable) will be available for:

PLEASE NOTE:  Lifeguards will be off duty effective August 24th & gate guards will be checking for Sharon residency only.  Users will have to SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Beach tags will be available for contact-less pick up at the Sharon Community Center front porch on Monday through Wednesday from 11am-4:30pm and Thursday from 11am-5:30pm. Please allow time for our staff to process your tags before coming to pick them up. Passes purchased after 3:00pm will be processed the next business day. If you would like tags mailed to your home, please email vruzzo@townofsharon.org. You must present your receipt at the gate until tags are in your hand.

BOTH BEACHES WILL BE CLOSED DAILY FROM 1:45pm-2:15pm FOR CLEANING AND SANITATION. ALL VISITORS MUST EXIT THE BEACH FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THIS HALF-HOUR PERIOD (even if you have a Full Day Seasonal Pass). Entry to the beaches for the afternoon block will begin at precisely 2:15pm.

***Announcements will be made 10 minutes prior to the end of the block alerting the visitors to clear the beach.*

The passes allow you access to either side of the beach.  Therefore if one side fills up, you may get re-directed to use the other side until capacity is reached.
It doesn’t matter how you enter, walk-in or with a vehicle; a pass is required for each person ages 3+.

Cars cannot and should not line up on Beach Street waiting for staff to arrive to open the gate.  We do not want this to cause a traffic burden on our local streets.

The season fee would be:
$30/Adult   $20/Reduced (Ages 61+, Ages 3-17, Disabled Veteran, Handicap)
Age 2 and under will be free

Please note, that if you do purchase a season pass, there may be a risk of getting turned away should we reach capacity. Capacity, based on the state guidelines released in May (200 people per acre) will allow 250 people at Veterans’ Memorial Park Beach and 80 at Community Center Beach.

Youth:
All youth under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult over 21 years.

Restrooms:

Veterans’ Memorial Park Beach: Restrooms will be open with strict capacity controls for the safety of visitors; limited to one patron at a time. Patrons waiting to use a bathroom must wait outside the bathhouse. Please only use in the event of an emergency.  Bathrooms will be professionally cleaned daily and intermittently by staff in between block visits.

Community Center Beach: Portable sanitation unit is available.

Trash:

All barrels have been removed from the grounds.  Groups and individuals are required to follow a CARRY IN - CARRY OUT POLICY for all of their belongings.  We ask that groups/individuals leave no trace after visiting our facilities.  A trash bag will be provided to guests upon arrival.

Gates:
Beach gates will still close and lock each night.  All cars MUST BE REMOVED from the lot on or before 9pm or your vehicle will get locked in.

Financial Assistance

The Sharon Recreation Department does provide financial assistance for those who qualify.  Assistance is based on Sharon HUD standards and must submit documentation for need that is included on our application. Applications can be found by visiting our website, www.sharonrec.com.

The Town Beach and its staff are supported by fees paid by the users of the beach and not tax dollars. The fees collected go directly to the expenses to operate the Town Beach. The fees fund: Lifeguards. Gate Attendants, Water quality testing by the Local Health Department. Restrooms that are professionally deep cleaned daily. Beach Sand that is raked weekly and cleaned of litter and debris.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
