New England School of Protocol Conversation Skills Workshop - Children's Conversation Skills Workshop - April 25th For many children it is easy to strike up a conversation or join one already in progress but for others engaging in small talk or starting a conversation can be challenging. Developing a child’s conversational skills and etiquette is important as it helps them build confidence, cultivate friendships, and understand social expectations. A child who is good at communicating verbally will often produce better written communication and interpret what they read more accurately, helping them in all areas of academics. Infant & Toddler Exploration: This class will focus on exploring, creating, and investigating while developing social/emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. We will have hands-on experiences with art, sensory, and developmentally appropriate materials, while focusing on learning through play in a group setting. The class will be structured by having a short group time, books/music, free-play, bubbles and art/water/sensory exploration!Kids & Coffee: This open playspace is designed to allow children to explore in an age-appropriate environment, while adults can chat and make new friends. Children ages 0-3 years old will develop social and emotional skills while investigating with many creative materials and gross motor equipment. Coffee will be served and memories will be made during this weekly playgroup! Afternoon Adventures with Miss Mollie! Join us for an afternoon adventure of learning, investigating and creating! We will a read a book in a group setting, learn by play with many toys/materials, have fun with bubbles, and explore different art/sensory and gross motor activities!Winter Open Play! Drop-in during the winter on Friday mornings to play, socialize, learn and grow. We will have many toys and materials to explore, art/sensory to create with and gross motor play! It will be the perfect way to escape the cold and have fun while staying active this winter! Please note that the $8 fee is per class and that participants must have a Sharon Recreation account created in advance to register.

BLAST Babysitting - BLAST Babysitting & CPR Training (April) An American Academy of Pediatrics course that covers how to handle the basics of infant and childcare, how to react responsibly to medical emergencies and injuries, perform first aid for common childhood injuries and illnesses, and set up and run your own babysitting business. Successful students will receive a CPR certification. Please bring a snack and a drink.

Adult First Aid & CPR Training - Adult First Aid & CPR Training: Spring 2024 Adult's First Aid/CPR teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes first aid basics, medical emergencies, injury emergencies, environmental emergencies, optional first aid topics and CPR and AED. Successful students will receive a First Aid/CPR certification.
